Prof. Lin Danming, PVC and Secretary of GTIIT Party Branch; Chen Xueqin, Deputy Secretary of Shantou Youth League Committee (YLC); Yao Zhen, Secretary of Shantou University YLC; Wu Zeping, Deputy Director of Organization Department of Shantou YLC attended the meeting.

PVC Lin encouraged youth members to combine personal development with the country's future, and strive to become scientists or engineers, making more contributions to the society.

On behalf of Guangdong YLC and Shantou YLC, Chen Xueqin expressed sincere congratulations on the convening of the conference.

Yao Zhen announced the official approval of establishing GTIIT Youth League Committee. 

Representation on work plan of GTIIT YLC was also made during the meeting. Later, seven GTIIT staff and students were elected by 104 delegates among nine candidates after group discussions, composing the first committee members of GTIIT YLC.

The first meeting of GTIIT YLC was held later to select the secretary members.
