Jason, a student from Shenzhen, joined marathon for the first time. He chose half marathon and spent almost three months to prepare for it. "Overcoming difficulties and finishing this race is the best gift for my 18th birthday," he said.

"It's my first race in China," said Eran Gal-Or, Director of GTIIT Campus Operation and Logistics. What impressed him most was the support that local people gave the runners by the side of the road and the meticulous organization of the race. "I think that people who join this race from outside can get a very good impression about Shantou. Also, for me it was very encouraging to run alongside some of our students on their first ever race."
