On January 6th to 8th, a delegation led by GTIIT Pro Vice Chancellor Lin Danming visited Hong Kong Chiu Chou Chamber of Commerce, Federation of HK Chiu Chou Community Organizations, and HK Association of Women Accountants.

At Hong Kong Chiu Chou Chamber of Commerce, President Lin Sun Leung, Vice President Chan Zin Men and the directors expressed their sincere welcome to the GTIIT and STU delegation. Mr. Lin Sun Leung stated in his speech that in 2018, the HK Chiu Chou Chamber of Commerce successfully visited GTIIT and Shantou University. The vitality demonstrated by the two universities left a deep impression on everyone. "We feel that the teaching and research strengths of the two universities are increasing, providing students with all-round education. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The HK Chiu Chou Chamber of Commerce will continue supporting the development of education in Chaoshan erea, Hong Kong and China. We believe that with the joint efforts of all parties, GTIIT and STU will train more talents for the society." Mr. Lin said.

Prof. Lin Danming from GTIIT and Prof. Niu Xiaodong from STU shared the academic development of different fields separately.

“What are the prospects of the three programs of GTIIT?” “How does GTIIT encourage students and faculty to innovate and start a business?” “How to better promote the combination of scientific research and industrialization?” The members from Hong Kong Chiu Chou Chamber of Commerce raised many questions about their concerns.

Souvenirs exchange section

Mr. Chan Wai Qun, executive director of the HK Chaozhou Chamber of Commerce, presented his calligraphy works to GTIIT.

At the Federation of HK Chiu Chou Community Organizations, Chairman Ian Y. N. Chan met with the GTIIT and STU delegation and introduced that the Federation is composed of more than 40 associations and the members are over 150,000. He thinks that everyone is very optimistic about the future of GTIIT. As always, the Federation will spare no effort to help promote GTIIT.

The Hong Kong Association of Women Accountants delegation visited GTIIT in December 2018. The advanced teaching mode and unique courses of GTIIT left a deep impression on the members of the association. In the meeting with the HK Association of Women Accountants, the founding president, Miss Elizabeth Law said that more and more outstanding students from Hong Kong are studying in the mainland. For them, GTIIT is a very good choice. Miss Fok Wai Man, the principal of Sacred Heart Canossian College, totally agreed with the opinion and said that they had recommended the students with the best academic performances to the selection for the coming winter camp of GTIIT.

The GTIIT delegation members included the heads of the GTIIT Chancellor Office, Finance Department, Student Affairs Office, and News and Public Affairs Department.
