A delegation led by Prof. Eliezer Shalev, GTIIT Vice Chancellor, visited Guangdong Guanghua Sci-Tech Co., Ltd(GHTECH) on January 25.

At GHTECH, Chairman Chen Hanzhao, Chairman Assistant Huang Yongzhou, and directors from relevant departments expressed their sincere welcome to the GTIIT delegation. University-industry cooperation topics, including transfer of knowledge and technology, undergraduate internship, postgraduate joint training base, and postdoctoral workstation, were discussed.

After visiting the National Enterprise Technology Center and production workshop, and knowing more about the history and scientific research achievements of GHTECH, VC Shalev spoke highly of its corporate culture, which focuses on environmental protection, pursuing excellence, and promoting technology and industrial development. "GTIIT is accelerating to establish an innovation center thus to promote the transfer of knowledge and technology, and to improve local development. Four disciplines, including Materials Science and Engineering, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Environmental Engineering are highly compatible with the GHTECH's industrial chain," VC Shalev said. He also thinks that GTIIT and GHTECH could strengthen industry-university-research collaboration.

Prof. Paul Chen, Prof. Zhong Ziyi, Associate Prof. Daniel Qi Tan , and Assistant Prof. Huang Kai introduced their research fields.

Chairman Chen highly appreciated GTIIT professors' rich research experiences, rigorous attitude, and determination to change the world. He pointed out that the industry-university-research collaboration will definitely promote industrial upgrading, and will improve the further development of GHTECH. "I hope that GHTECH and GTIIT can carry out university-corporate cooperation to achieve win-win", Chen said.

The GTIIT delegation included the members of the GTIIT Research, Innovation and Graduate Studies, and Finance Department.
