Call for Participation
Dear Experts, Scholars, and Colleagues from Industry,
In order to implement the strategic deployment of the national "15th Five-Year Plan", carry out the innovation-driven development strategy and the Healthy China strategy in depth, accelerate high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and the construction of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) as an international innovation and technology hub, and promote the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation, industrial development, and clinical application in the field of biomedical engineering, the 2026 Greater Bay Area Biomedical Engineering Innovation Development Forum (4th Edition) is scheduled to be held in Shantou, Guangdong, on October 16–18, 2026.
The Forum is hosted byBiomedical Analysis, Journal of Instrumental Analysis, the GBA Biomedical Sensing Alliance, and the Extracellular Vesicles Industry-University-Research Innovation Alliance, and co-organized by the Department of Biotechnology of Guangdong Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, the School of Biomedical Engineering of Sun Yat-sen University, the School of Medicine of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and the School of Biomedical Engineering of Shenzhen University Medical School.
With the theme "International Collaboration · Med-Engineering Integration · Smart Bay Area · Translational Future", this Forum highlights international cooperation, medical-engineering integration, and a clinical-translation orientation. It will focus on key technologies and innovative development in biomedical engineering, and systematically exchange the latest advances in basic research, key technologies, clinical application, and industrial translation. Distinguished scholars, clinical experts, business leaders, and other guests in related fields will be invited to gather at this grand event. Through plenary lectures, thematic forums, a young investigators forum, roundtable discussions, and achievement exhibitions, the Forum aims to promote the exchange of cutting-edge ideas, the matching of clinical needs, the translation of research outcomes, and cross-regional collaboration, and to build an internationally influential platform for collaborative interaction across industry, academia, research, medicine, testing, and application in biomedical engineering.
We sincerely invite experts, scholars, clinicians, corporate representatives, and young researchers in biomedical engineering and related fields to gather in the hometown of Yingge dance and the hometown of overseas Chaoshan Chinese, to share cutting-edge achievements, deepen exchanges and cooperation, and jointly promote the high-quality innovative and industrial development of biomedical engineering in the Greater Bay Area.

About the Journal
Biomedical Analysis (abbreviated BMA) is an international open-access English-language journal co-sponsored by Sun Yat-sen University and the China National Analytical Center, Guangzhou. It is the sister journal of Journal of Instrumental Analysis, a premier scientific and technological journal and a Chinese core journal. Its Editors-in-Chief are Academician Hongyuan Chen of Nanjing University and Professor Li Niu of Sun Yat-sen University. The journal focuses on original methods and breakthroughs in key and core technologies for the prevention and diagnosis of life and health, with research directions including but not limited to: biological sample processing technologies, novel analytical methods, biosensors, laboratory medicine, nanobiotechnology, imaging technologies, micro-nano fabrication and miniaturization technologies, integrated sensing systems, analytical instrument development, human-computer interaction technologies, and computational, bioinformatics, and statistical analysis methods. The launch of the open-access English-language scientific journal Biomedical Analysis aims to promote the open sharing of research results, improve the visibility and influence of research outcomes, and absorb outstanding research results from home and abroad. The journal was launched in 2024 and has been indexed in databases such as DOAJ, Scopus, CA, and EBSCO, and was selected for the 2025 Guangdong High-Level Scientific and Technological Journal Construction Project.
