According to statistics from GTIIT, 52.3% of administrative employees are female while the proportion of female faculty is 29.5% of all faculty and researchers. 162 female students, account for 34% students of GTIIT, which means that more girls join the journey of exploring the scientific world.

Dr. Chen Meilian, a Research Scientist in Environmental Program at GTIIT, was elected as a member of the 13th Shantou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative(CPPCC). She has been researching environmental biogeochemistry for more than a decade with significant scientific research achievements. Dr. Chen has published more than 20 high quality SCI articles in international journals such as Biogeochemistry and Water Research. As a member of the CPPCC Shantou Committee, she puts forward opinions on improving the environment and reducing open-ended waste incineration, which are highly valued by the Municipal Ecology and Environmental Department. "I hope that our voices can be heard thus to create a better living, learning, teaching and researching environment for GTIIT faculty, staff and students."

Yi Chuanping, Director of GTIIT Chancellor Office(CO), was awarded the "March 8th Red-Banner Pacesetter in Guangdong" this year. Dr. Yi has been dedicated to her work since she joined GTIIT. Following the instruction of the superior leaders, she has actively promoted the establishment and development of the party organization of GTIIT which has achieved gratifying success. The party organization of GTIIT was selected as "Provincial Advanced Party Branch" in June, 2018. In November 2018, GTIIT was listed in the "Guangdong High Level University Development Program", becoming the youngest one among the 18 universities. As Director of CO, Dr. Yi hascoordinated with different departments, to prepare documents and materials, and made a positive contribution to GTIIT's successful application ofGuangdong High Level University Development Program.  

News and Public Affairs(NPA) of GTIIT has been honored "Able Women Post of Shantou" this year. As one of the earliest established administrative departments, NPA has strived at its job to serve as a bridge in China- Israel cooperation and "storyteller", and has contributed a lot to the enhancement of  the popularity and reputation of GTIIT to promote the establishment of a world-renowned science and engineering university. The official website (www.gtiit.edu.cn) was selected as the "Top Ten Guangdong Undergraduate University Official Website" by the Provincial Education Department. "Glory! We are the first cohort of students at GTIIT" was rewarded "2017 Provincial Excellent Undergraduate Institution We-Chat Tweets".

The development of She-power makes GTIIT a more brilliant, vivid and scientific campus.
