Position Description                                                                      

The Mechanical Engineering Program (group of Pavlos Dimitriou) is looking for one Research Assistant to assist in the development of a new engine combustion laboratory. Excellent candidates can be recommended to apply for doctoral studies.

Duties and Responsibilities                                                                    

·        Installation of new equipment in the lab

·        Setup the test units and perform experiments

·        Responsible for the daily technical and administrative work of the laboratory, assist other researchers to carry out scientific work

·        In charge of maintenance of the instrument in the laboratory

·        Write reports and manuscripts in English

·        Other duties assigned by the PI

Required Job Specifications                                                                 

·        Required qualification / academic degree: Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a close field

·        Required experience: Interest in internal combustion engines (previous experience in the field is preferred)

Required Job Competencies                                                                

·        Language ability: Good spoken English for essential communication and ability to write technical documents in English

·        Understanding of internal combustion engines operating principles

·        Knowledge of computational simulation software (preferred)
