Position Description:

Electron Microscopy Center (EMC, https://sites.gtiit.edu.cn/emc/ led by Dr. Limei Cha) is looking for a research assistant (RA) to manage the activities in sample preparation lab. If interested, excellent candidate can be recommended to apply for Master and/or Ph.D studies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Use and maintenance of the instrument in sample preparation laboratory

·       Carry out laboratory related experiments and demonstration

·       Explain and write the usage of sample preparation tools in English

·       Write experiments report and analysis in English

·       Contact manufactures to maintain and update equipment efficiently, and learn new methods

·       Complete other tasks assigned by group leader

Required Job Specifications:

·       Required qualification / academic degree: B.S. or M.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field

·       Required experience:  Familiar with SEM/TEM sample preparation

Required Job Competencies:     

·       B.S. or M.S. degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a related field (essential)

·       Language ability: Fluent English in speaking, reading and writing (essential)

·      Excellent communication skill， strong practical ability，and good team worker (essential)

·      Strong interest in Electron Microscopy (essential), experience with SEM/TEM sample preparation (essential) and biomaterials (preferred);

·      Ability to author scientific report independently (preferred)
