Institution and Supervisor:

Prof. Zhu has worked in multiple countries and institutions including Max-Planck Institute for Polymer (Mainz Germany), Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherlands), Deakin University (Australia), University of the Basque Country (San Sebastian Spain) and CSIRO (Australia). He has intensive experiences in electrochemistry, polymer materials, as well as fuel cell and water electrolysis technologies. He has published over 120 SCI papers to date and has an H-index of 30 (as of Feb 2023). In March 2023 he joined GTIIT as an associate professor, leading a research group with main focus on the development of next-generation materials for energy storage and conversion applications. Duties and Responsibilities:

•  Synthesis of new polymers; Preparation and characterization of electrolyte materials; Lithium battery cell assembly and testing

•  Preparation of experimental reports/Paper manuscripts/Research funds

•  Maintain and adjust laboratory equipment

•  Training and co-supervision of Undergraduates/Masters/PhDs

Required Job Specifications:

·       PhD (for Lab Manager) or Msc (For Lab assistant) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or other relevant program (Essential)

·       Hands-on experience with polymer synthesis or any other organic synthesis (Essential)

·       Experience with one or more of the following areas: electrochemistry/lithium-ion battery/electrolyte materials/ionic liquids (Preferred)

·       Publication record as the first author (Essential)

·       Experience with fund application is a plus (Preferred)

·       Passionate in scientific research, and self-motivated (Essential)
