Position Description                                                                      

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Environmental Health and Safety Engineer to join our team. As an EHS Engineer at our school, you will be responsible for ensuring the organization complies with all environmental, health and safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities                                                                   

- Review EHS design of construction to meet with lab EHS-related functional requirement;

- Organize safety inspection to identify risk and hazards, develop improving plan for corrective actions;

- Develop and implement labs’ annual emergency plan and drills;

-  Establish and maintain EHS information sharing platform;

- Lead the environmental factors management, such as waste water treatment station, hazardous waste management, off gas regular testing etc.;

- Provide EHS training to ensure employees comply with campus EHS instruction and are not expose to unnecessary risks.

- Take charge of data maintenance in systems of Government's EHS authorities, including Strict Controlled Chemicals Management systems, Biological Safety Management system, hazardous waste, biological waste etc.;

- Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be required.

Required Job Specifications                                                                 

- Required qualification/academic degree: Bachelor degree or above with a background in safety engineering, or biological engineering, or environmental engineering, etc. (Required); Bachelor degree with Chemistry Engineering background (preferred);

- Required experience: 3 years or more EHS work experience, familiar with risk management and EHS management system.

Required Job Competencies                                                                

- National certificated safety engineer is mandatory;

- Familiar with office software with good text ability;

- Fluent English communication skill;

- Work conscientiously and have strong teamwork sense.
