Lab Technician Position in Water and Wastewater Treatment

The Environmental Engineering Program (group of Prof. Ori Lahav) is looking for a Lab Technician to work on water and wastewater treatment related projects. Contract duration: up to 3 years.

Project Details

Prof. Ori Lahav, Head of Environmental Engineering Program is setting up wastewater treatment lab at GTIIT. One of the key interests of this lab is on supercritical water oxidation of wastewater effluents following desalination. Another project will focus on a completely new approach to treat the water in intensive aquaculture species systems for growing shrimp. We are looking for one highly motivated Lab Technician to work on these key interests of lab starting from May/June 2020.

Duties and Responsibilities                                                        

· Installation/in-charge of instrumentation and equipment.

· Conduct lab-scale and pilot-scale experiments, including analyses.

· Documentation.

Selection Criteria:

· Master or BSc degree in Chemical/Environmental Engineering or related fields (essential).

· Background in wastewater treatment-related research.

· Good communication skills in Chinese and English (essential).

· Good technical skills.

· Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

· Driving license.
