Position Description                                                              

At GTIIT, the Huang laboratory is dedicated to study physics and chemistry at solid surfaces, by ultra-high vacuum SPM (experiment), and followed by first principles computations (theory). Of particular note, our expertise centers at the control of surface dynamics to fabricate, characterize and understand novel surface materials for applications in catalysis, energy, material and health. We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced full-time technician to establish and support our research lab.

Duties and Responsibilities                                                                   

1. Inquiry, order, receive, install and adjust equipment, software and parts; 

2. Write and maintain standard operation procedures and organize laboratory supplies; 

3. Support the team in the design, construction, development, testing, operation and inspection; 

4. Communicate with collaborators inside and outside GTIIT; 

5. Perform other duties assigned by P.I., such as drawing and proposals.

Required Job Specifications                                                                

1. Required qualification / academic degree: BSc in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering or related fields (minimum), master degree or above is favored

2. Required experience:  Professional Training in Chemistry

Required Job Competencies                                                             

Language ability: Good knowledge of spoken and written English and communication skills.
