Position Description:

The Mechanical Engineering Program (group of Madan Kumar) is looking for one Research Assistant to assist in the development of a new engine combustion (IC engine) laboratory and for managing research projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Handling of new equipment purchasing and installation in IC engine lab

·       Setup maintenance and conduct experiment

·       Daily technical and administrative work in laboratory

·       Draft report and manuscript in English and Chinese

·       Additional duties assigned by PI

Required Job Specifications:

·       Required qualification / academic degree:  Master/Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a close field

·       Required experience:  Experience/interest in internal combustion (IC) engine laboratory maintenance and experiment conduct

Required Job Competencies:     

·       Language ability: speaking and writing English (preferred), speaking and writing Chinese (essential)

·       Familiar of internal combustion engine operation 

·       Computational simulation software knowledge (preferred)
