Job Post – Assistant for Admissions Office (New Media Visual & Video Direction)

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities                                                                      

· End-to-End Video Planning and Production: Independently manage the entire process of admissions promotional videos, from planning and filming to editing and packaging. Proficient in professional software (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) to produce expressive and creative visual works.

· Cross-Platform Visual Content Coordination: Lead the planning and production of visual content (e.g., themed posters, short videos, lightweight motion graphics, interactive H5 pages) for various new media platforms (such as WeChat, Channels, Xiaohongshu, Bilibili). Adapt and recreate core concepts for "one-source, multi-use" across different platforms based on their unique characteristics.

· Material Management and Admissions Material Design: Establish and maintain a video material management system to ensure efficient reuse of assets. Provide comprehensive design support for various admissions promotional materials and activities.

· Student Ambassador Team Management: Be responsible for the training, daily operations, and activity guidance (e.g., campus livestreams, alumni sharing sessions, school visit events) of the Student Ambassador team. Integrate resources to enhance the team's professional communication skills and boost the influence of the admissions brand.
 

Required Job Competencies                                                                  

· Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher from an internationally reputable university. A background in Journalism, Communication, New Media, Digital Media, or related fields is preferred. Candidates with over one year of experience in promotional video production, visual design, or new media operations are highly valued.

· Core Skills: Proficient in using photography equipment and software such as CapCut, Photoshop, and Illustrator, with the ability to independently complete video planning and production. Possesses strong material sourcing abilities, excellent visual aesthetics, and creative execution skills. A background in hand-drawing or design is advantageous.

· Copywriting Skills: Solid writing and copywriting abilities, capable of accurately grasping the tone of admissions communications and crafting engaging, high-quality promotional content.

· English Proficiency: Excellent command of English in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Ability to thrive in a bilingual work environment, adeptly handle English promotional materials, and communicate effectively with international faculty and students.

· Professional Qualities: Meticulous, responsible, with strong teamwork spirit and efficient execution. Passionate about new media and video creation, a quick learner, adaptable to business travel and flexible schedules during peak admissions periods, and resilient under pressure.
