Position Description:

Associate Prof. Xuan ZHAN’s research group focuses on the study of porphyrin (corrole) compounds, and promotes the application of molecules or materials in the fields of energy catalysis and biomedicine based on the compounds. The group is now actively seeking the experienced Research Assistant to join the research team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Assist in the research on energy catalysis or biomedicine based on porphyrin complexes (such as carboxylic acid). 

·       Participate in the design, application, and completion of research projects.

·       Manage laboratory safety procedures and demonstrate the operating procedures of major laboratory equipment to the team members.

·       Assist in applying for domestic and international patents.

Required Job Specifications:

·       Required qualification / academic degree: Bachelor degree in biochemistry/medicinal chemistry, polymer materials or related field. Master degree preferred.

·       Required experience: Experience in technical work in a biochemistry/medicinal chemistry or polymer materials laboratory. With at least two-year experience of operating laboratory instruments such as flow cytometers and confocal microscopes (preferred).

Required Job Competencies:     

·       Language ability: Excellent in English writing and speaking

·       Proficient in the software about chemistry or biology.

·       Ability to quickly learn and grasp the operation of new software/equipment required for the workplace.
