Position Description

GTIIT is looking for an instructor of one or more groups of Technical English for freshman of Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology and Food Engineering programs. All instruction of this new university is conducted in English.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Teach 1-2 groups, 4 weekly hours each, during the 13-week fall semester;

· Teach according to assigned textbook, prepare supplementary material and exams;

· Conduct class discussion on technical texts;

· Enhance students' writing, reading and communication skills. 

Position Requirements

· Education: graduate degree, preferably PhD, in English, Linguistics and ESL (with adequate knowledge in Chemistry or Biology), or a graduate degree in a related technical field

· Native English speaker

· Work experience: several years of teaching experience in a university setting
