Position Title: Senior Teaching Fellow / Teaching Fellow in General Education

Duties and Responsibilities                                                                     

· Teach a general education course on "In Dialogue with Nature" and other relevant general education courses (6 courses per year);

· Design e-learning materials; and

· Assist in curriculum development and administrative assignments.

Required Job Specifications                                                                

· Required qualification: Ph.D. degree in natural science or engineering or science education

· Required experience: 4-year teaching experience in a similar setting

Required Job Competencies                                                                

· Language ability: proficiency in Chinese and/or English, ability to develop and teach courses in English

· Interest and experience in teaching science as general education subjects at tertiary level

· Some knowledge of the historical development of science and its relationship with society

Preference will be given to candidates with                                                                 

· At least four-year overseas experience (study/work), preferably in an English-speaking country;

· A proven record of teaching excellence and experience in leading small group seminars.
