Nicolás Sirolli is an assistant professor at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina). He obtained there his PhD in mathematics in 2013, after which he did a postdoctoral stay at the University of the Republic (Uruguay). He has been a visiting researcher at Bucknell University (USA) in 2015 and 2018.
His area of research is Number Theory: particularly, theoretical and computational aspects of the Shimura correspondence for modular forms. He also is interested in congruences of Ramanujan type for the overpartition function, and in positions of Heegner points.
He joined GTIIT as a visiting professor (MCS programme) in February 2024.
