Dr. Agata Atkarskaia received her Ph,D. in Mathematics in 2015 from the Moscow State University. Then until the end of 2016 she worked in the industry as a software developer in Yandex LLC, in Moscow. In November 2016 she started doing her postdoc in Israel. During the period November 2016 - March 2020 she was doing postdoc in Bar Ilan University, Israel, and during the period April 2020 - September 2025 she was doing postdoc in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. She is doing research in Algebra, her main research interests are: Geometric Group Theory, combinatorial methods and algorithms for groups and rings, and groups and rings with exotic properties.

Her research interests: Geometric Group Theory, small cancellation theory, hyperbolic groups, Burnside groups, groups and algebras with exotic properties, algorithms for groups and rings, Groebner-Shirshov bases and their generalizations.
