Pavlos Dimitriou is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Guangdong Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. He holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Oxford Brookes University (UK), an MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering (with distinction), and a PhD in Engineering from the University of Sussex (UK). Pavlos worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bath (UK) and as a Research Scientist at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Japan. His main research activities are in combustion systems with conventional and alternative fuels, turbocharging/downsizing, and advanced simulations for powertrain systems. Throughout his career, he has collaborated and led major research projects with leading automotive and energy companies such as Ford Motor Company, Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda Motor Co, Saudi Aramco, MHI, and many others.
