Dr. Guillaume Emmanuel Hoffmann is born in France and obtained his engineering degree in software development from Télécom Nancy, France, in 2006, his Master's degree in computational linguistics in 2007 from the Université Henri Poincaré of Nancy, France, and his PhD degree in computer science in 2010 from the Université Henri Poincaré. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina, from 2012 to 2016. He is researcher of the Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas (CONICET), Argentina, since 2016. He taught in Télecom Nancy, Université Henri Poincaré, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Universidad Nacional de San Juan (Argentina), and gave lectures in the University of Seville (Spain), Universidad Nacional de Rosario (Argentina) and Universidad Nacional de Río Cuarto (Argentina). He has been mentor in the Google Summer of Code program in 2013 and 2014.

His fields of interest include computational logic (modal logic, tableaux systems), computational complexity, satellite remote sensing (including European Space Agency's Copernicus program), and free and open source software (FOSS) development.
